Atrif alternative energy Plc is established in 2006/07 as an affiliate company of beta engineering service engaged in the production of bio fuel/ bio diesel in Ethiopia.

The bio fuel/ bio diesel is envisaged to be produced from the seeds of Jatropha curcas that would be planted on 100 hectares of land. The land identified as suitable for planting Jatropha is non-arabable with out other agricultural use and with no consequential crowding our effect.

The bio fuel produced is intended to be sold at affordable prices for house hold consumption to rural and pre-urban communities with or no access to the modern forms of energy for lighting and cooking.
